During 2018, the Eaton Once Around Shop and Preble County Emergency Food Pantry merged to become an independent nonprofit organization named The Common Good of Preble County. “I am so pleased to extend the original mission of Graceworks through The Common Good,” explains Executive Director Jenny McCarty. “With The Common Good, we hope to address the unique needs facing Preble County residents. We strive to be good neighbors and hope to continue as a top resource for individuals locally.” McCarty was a longtime employee of Graceworks Lutheran Services and acted as program manager for the Once Around Shop and Emergency Food Pantry.  The purpose of The Common Good is to mobilize community resources to help Eaton and Preble County residents meet their essential needs.

For nearly 40 years, Consumer Credit Counseling Service offered exceptional debt management programs and financial counseling to Miami Valley residents. During 2018, Graceworks transferred CCCS to the HomeOwnership Center of County Corp in Dayton, Ohio. Through this change, clients enjoy continued access to financial education and housing counseling. This allows for better alignment of the overall Graceworks mission to provide safe residential care options for seniors and those with disabilities.
